The Morning After

But Charlie Sheen got a mention when the so-laid-back-I-look-disinterested James Franco appeared in drag as Marilyn.  Show began on a high note, ended on a high note, but dang, in between, with few exceptions, it stunk.  Almost made me miss Rob Lowe and Snow White! The Oscars need new writers, Billy Crystal to return and to forget about the young demographics. The kids watched, they tweeted, they too thought it sucked.  Partially, because of Franco and Hathaway.
Gee, now I guess I have to watch Black Swan.

Oscar Sunday

Much like the Rose Parade the weather gods worked hard overnight to clear out the rain clouds. Clear blue skies and damn cold. At 6am Hollywood and Highland was already buzzing with activity.
Stood around for about 10 minutes watching the worker bees. Fans staking out their prime viewing spots. Notice the man in the wheelchair with
Shamu. I believe The King's Speech will dominate, deservingly so.
From the heart of hoopla I bid you good morning.

Dang it's only 2pm and the helicopters are already hovering. Noisy wankers. The Oscar telecast is 3 hours away but the local station(s) MUST do a "live from the red carpet" as the stars begin to arrive.  Can you imagine the schmoozing that happens between now and 5pm inside the Kodak Theatre? Not to mention the downing of booze. Don't imagine Charlie Sheen got an invite though!

Griffith Park Bear

Someone is having great fun with it.
This was it's Christmas adornment.
I'm anxious to see what Easter brings.
If there's an basket full of chocolate goodies, I'll be tempted.
