Planning Stages

First you make a decision and then you stick with it.  I've decided on a trip to Belfast.  Going to visit Bernie on the set of GOT (okay, non followers, Game of Thrones) visit The Smoke (seriously have to learn the vernacular, that would be London) as well as visit Maggie at home in Bournemouth.  Most likely in late October or early November.  My favorite time to travel.  Planning is part of my enjoyment.  Figuring out flight times, costs, where to stay, etc. Right now I'm trying to decide how long in each place and is there anywhere else I'd like to see in UK at that time of year. Scotland? Wales? Will definitely be taking the big camera since part of my love of travel is taking photographs. All excited.

Instagram

Once you get the hang of it, taking photos with the iPhone and using Instagram to alter the images is fun. I like this one. I've had these postcard sized images on a wall for years. Like how the Instragram option creates a focal point as well as provides a tempered hue.
The same with this "captured the moment" photo. I call it threesome.
Lastly, this maybe my favorite. The framing, the color.
Seriously, who can fault bacon?

Long Time Gone

Not sure why I haven't been paying attention to this blog.  Not like I don't have something to say all the time.  The word sloth comes to mind though.  In reality and thankfully I have been working since early March.  On different projects but employed nonetheless.  In this day and age a huge plus! Even got a few days scouting for the same folks I'd met and worked with in Dallas on Lonestar. Then moved onto a pilot for FOX with my colleague Debbie Page. Although I don't wish to work on set I agreed to do the whole shoot because it was Debbie, because it was only an 8 day shoot and because we only had 4 locations.  Sounds easy doesn't it?  Well.....She cried. I yelled. We were both exhausted by day 3 and my rationale for NOT set sitting was, once again, seared into my brain.  We worked our butts off. Thankfully, we're still friends and have both moved on to other things. The show is delegated to a distant memory and checks are in the bank!!!

Here is what I'm involved with now.  Desert scouting for an HBO promo for Newsroom.  Somehow I don't think we'll be shooting here although have to love innovative graffiti.
Welcome to the high desert of California

It Was Her Smile

Actually it was the price and the product. Whole bag of oranges for $5.  Largest and sweetest I've enjoyed all season. What a find on a early Sunday morning in Chinatown!!!
I'm a believer and satisfied customer!!!
