Listening to Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards of KTLA announce the Rose Parade. Once again the rest of the country gets to envy the sunshine of Pasadena. A brisk 41 degrees. Can only imagine the visitors from Wisconsin are thinking it's heaven. Used to attend the parade yearly, getting up at 3am to do. Things change but my love of watching it never will. Having worked on a float or two I can say they are unique works of art.  Covered only with flowers, seeds, bark, straw, etc. Never any paint. The floats are huge and impressive. If you've never attended you should. At least once. So after a nice stroll with the hound to see the sunrise, I'm comfortably ensconced at home watching THE parade of the year and sipping java. What's not to like on the first day of New Year!
