So the moon wasn't out but this coyote was.
Perched high above the trail it was watching Ramona and I as we made our way back down from our predawn outing to Mt. Hollywood.
Had actually seen another one earlier. It had run across the trail. Mona missed it. She was preoccupied sniffing out at a bunny hole. Loads of coyotes in Griffith Park. Some mornings they'll yelp and howl to one another. People on the trails just keep moving.
