Almost Human

Feeling better. Not quite normal (then when am I ever) but on the mend. Bored enough to unwisely go stand in the rain and watch the 10th mile of the LA Marathon. Two blocks away so an easy stroll to the corner of Bronson and Hollywood Blvd. The wheelchair participants are so inspiring.

It's 4 hours since I wandered over to watch the race. Rain is pouring down outside.  Can't recall the last time the Marathon had such bad weather. I got soaked in the 45 minutes I stood there watching the festivities. Not a bright thing to do given my health. No excuse. Wanted to snap some pics. So now when I cough I'll think of Camille. Drama Queen!

Don't even want to imagine what the runners went through trying to complete the 26 miles. Wonder if anyone remains on the course? Not a pretty picture to contemplate.
