Hi Ya

Back in Belfast after a long drive from Dingle. Spent a few minutes in town shopping. Snapped a few photos before I hit the road heading East.
Only occupant.  John and Angela are closing for the season after I leave.
My lovely B and B.
Turning my keys in and leaving my remarks
John and Angela McCarthy my fabulous hosts!!!
A colorful array of wool.
Fabulous stuff. I bought nothing for myself though.
One of the few shops still open in downtown. Glad I stopped in.
Twas the sheep in the window that got me. That and all the wool products shown above.
Bye Bye Dingle
The drive home was long and a bit tiring. Unfortunately hit commuter traffic in Belfast as the sun set. Go lost for 10 minutes, then found and Gas and Go, which was ideal because I needed to fill up the tank. As if divine intervention a cabbie pulled into the station.  Asked him for directions. I was only two blocks from my final destination. Huge sigh of relief.  Fitful sleep.

Got up early Saturday to join Bernie on a drive to Banbridge, about 30 miles North of Belfast.  Sets built in a textile mill.  Can't show any of them of course but this one iPhone snap of me by Bernie.
From there I had the lovely Tom take me back to Belfast and drop me at the enjoyable St. George's market where I wandered and people watched. As an aside I must say my rides and talks with Tom have been most endearing. Irish through and through he has a hearty laugh and tells wonderful stories. Bernie knows what a treasure she found in him. I'll try to get a shot of the two of them before I depart. Battery was fading so only a few St. George's moments.
From here I walked backed to the apartment.
Kind of like this snap. New architecture, old architecture and pink buses. Belfast in a nutshell.
Some sailing lessons taking place on the River Lagan.
Had a cuppa tea and then Scott and I took off for some shopping and perusal of the newly opened Continental Market (aka Xmas Market) in front of City Hall.
The decline of the world continues
Lack of taste rampant everywhere
Then again great name for a coffee brand!
Ho Ho Ho
Sampling chili infused brie
The queue to enter the market moved quickly and inside we found:
A Santa poser
What crowd?
Silly hats
Artsy fartsy shot with Scott covering his face.
"I'm scarred for life. A reindeer Mom?? Really?!"
Smoke 'em if you got 'em
Shades of Red
Grandma placating a sweet tooth
Scott in the role of a chipmunk
Smiles
Xmas colors
A Biergarten
A retirement beer. A strawberry lime cider to be exact.
Belly up to the bar boy
"A nice girl Esther but a fat ass."
"Patrick you'll not be wearing the Santa suit, don't ya know."
Scott headed off to the gym and I spent the next four hours meandering.
Best way to see a city.

Cornmarket Square with The Spirit of Belfast sculpture.
A religious twit. The wee ones could care less
Nor could the teens
The art of busking is alive in Belfast.
"Purple Haze"
"Lads, what do you think?"
The next Michael Flatley. He loved the drummer boy!
Taking it all in patiently.
She was trying hard. Nice image but damn she really couldn't play well.
On the other hand this young gal was fabulous. An Annie Defranco/Judy Collins combo. I placed a pound in her case.
Since my arrival been amused by the red heads.
I keep walking. Snapping images when the spirit moved me.
Friends catching up
An interesting gallery look
Time for a pint.  Just around the corner from the Duke of York where Scott and I visited my first night in town.
Looking outside from my spot in the pub
Me mates, watching rugby.
The ceiling of Guinness plaques
Never forget!!
Off to meet Miss B for dinner at a spot called Coppi in St. Anne's Square. Right below Scott's gym actually.
Was early so went next door to MAC for a latte.
Nice spot for a coffee and free wifi. It's an Arts complex so there are gallery exhibits and theaters. This was the second level.
I had my latte down here.
Stellar dinner. I had a pasta. Linguine with lemon and oregano.
After we took off heading for the apartment.
Shoppers heading to the car park
The exterior of the Duke of York. Happy customers!
The underpass in route to the apartment.
Silly iPhone photo. Did I mention as we were passing McHugh's a yell of "Bernie" was heard. Some of her crew members were there so we popped in for a drink with Sam, head of the Special Effects department. Perfect ending to a lovely evening.

Sunday was spent quietly.  Scott and Bernie went shopping together while I lounged and did my laundry.  They called and were waiting for me at Mourne's for a mid day meal. Bernie called a taxi for me and off I went to stuff my face. Fabulous mussels, shrimp and seafood chowder.  So much I nearly myself sick.
Came back to the apartment. B called her husband, while Scott splayed on the couch and I plopped in the large lounge chair. We watched rugby using our tablets to read the rules so we could try to understand the game.
