Natural Beauty

Suffice it to say my trek today was GORGEOUS.  Left the B and B without breakfast in route to Killarney to see the National Park.  From there decided to see the Gap of Dunloe. Hiked a good portion of it, then have-no-fear Eastman decided to drive Seamus through it.  Well worth every treacherous turn! Beautiful beyond words. What follows are images of today's exhausting but breath taking journey.
There's was a calling.....of sorts.
Killarney and yes it was time for breakfast.
A bakery and coffee shop that serves breakfast. How perfect!
Another crossword puzzle lover
The only other diner reflected in the mirror.  Art shot.
Filled with rashers, eggs and toast was time to walk it off
Brought all three cameras so was snapping like a mad woman
Everyone enjoying their lovely park
The color of this tree was amazing
Look no double chin but hey a few nose hairs
Art shot. Played with the color options for the image
These two made me smile.
The tree again with the interesting sky
Vast.  Could spend a week exploring all the trails
I've got a stick, I've got a stick!
Pets and Pals
The adventure begins. Two cart drivers tried to hustle me but I was having none of it.  I wanted to hike a portion of it myself. Gave myself an hour to see how far I would get.
Climbing?  Me? Can barely move lift myself off the couch!
However, I can walk and hike and did so.
I see this flat spot against the trees and immediately think " I could have a wee home there. Perfect spot"

Lo and behold I know this is a road. Washed out now but that means there was a place there I know it.
 To be continued.
The beauty of this place was breath taking. Every turn another tableau of natural wonder.
 And colorful friends
Wasn't the only one out for the day either

He's on his cell phone
Cart driver convinced a couple to ride.

Turned around here.  Saw that I was making great time so decided I would return for Seamus and we would conquer the Gap of Dunloe together
Peace and this road we be perfect for a car commercial
I rest my case
Spotted this guy as I walked back
Walkers, climbers and cars. Notice the size of the cars.
Small. I have Seamus, the tuna boat.
Xmas card?
More Climbers
Coming back down the hill. Smiles betraying their sore butts and the cold.
Another good reason to get the car. Possible rain.
Back to investigate. Someone had to have lived up there.

Must I show more proof???  If the road hadn't been washed out I would have trekked up to the property.
But wait as I got further down, put on my glasses and used the telephoto lens I finally saw the house on the other side of the trees.  So now I must win the lottery, buy the property and restore this place. Delusional, I know.
Seamus and I take off.
Notice the tree growing out of the chimney
Now the fun begins
We see this guy later.  Miles later but we see him and I thought my day was exhausting!?
Could you move faster please, she's getting closer. Run!
Safety in numbers
The triangle on the bottom, tis I
Me again. We've made it through the Gap and now down the other side.
Seamus at rest
And on the other side of the gap is a village
Drove on through following the signs to Kenmare
"I am King of the Mountain"
"Deal with it!"
"We're cursed"
"Michael, Reece had gotten out again!"

"Michael!"

See, I told you we'd see him again.
From Kenmare returned to Killarney and the other side of the National Park.
Family of Elk.
Stopped taking photos as the light was getting low and I needed to get back to Dingle before dark.  Can't stand driving in the dark.  Made it and of course headed to Foxy John's
As I walked down the road I peered into a window.
Dance class was in full force.

Rat poison, sherry, Guinness. Now there's a threesome !
Long day but a personally rewarding day.
