Another World

As most of you may know Bernie produces the Games of Thrones the Emmy winning HBO series.  On Saturday I spent a good portion of the day 45 minutes outside Belfast in a quarry where scenes were being filmed.  All of what I am posting has been approved but please don't reblog. Thanks.
Everyone who knows Bernie claims she's a Superwoman but I never knew about the Xray vision.
As you can see we left in the wee hours of the morning driven by B's wonderful driver Tom.
While Bernie made her rounds, Tom and I had breakfast.
In the states we cater under tents, in a room or a trailer called a lunchbox.
In NI this is where you dine.  Don't you just love it?!!!

Bernie and Deb Riley, the Production Designer. Deb and I had worked together on a project with Joel Schumacher that never came to fruition. She was great. Open. Honest. No pretense. When Bernie said they were interviewing Designers to replace Gemma Jackson and I heard Deb was on the short list I said, "she's a keeper."  Apparently, Deb knocked it out of the park in the interview. A success story!
Show fans will recognize act Kit Harrington
who plays the character Jon Snow in the show.
The look from afar.
Now off to the other portion higher in the quarry.  The castle is a set as well.

At some point Bernie and Chris Newman wanted to find a spot for a pick up shot.
I tagged along to watch the process and rock hunt.

Intriguing rocks abundant in the quarry.  Could have spent the day just looking at those.
This one doesn't purr.
Having some fun now!
